FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) is a method for analyzing and evaluating types of failure and their consequences in product and process development. It is primarily used for risk mitigation and failure prevention in the design and production phases.
However, the results and benefits of FMEA depend on the preparation, the moderated implementation of the FMEA, and the motivation of the employees assigned to it.
In addition, most FMEA are currently carried out in meeting rooms, far removed from the reality of practical application and actual manufacturing situations.
The reverse FMEA method was developed to verify the results of FMEA in real-life situations. Reverse FMEA is used as a tool and method for checking the relevance of a process FMEA. Furthermore, the application of reverse FMEA enables proactive, preventive, and comprehensive further risk minimization in the processes.
This makes reverse FMEA an efficient and effective tool for continuous risk reduction. Companies such as GM, Opel, PSA, and Continental rely on this method and require its use in their supply base.
In this seminar, you will bring your FMEA knowledge up to date and work out the components of a comprehensive reverse FMEA in moderated workshops. This will enable you to generate direct added value for your company within the workshop itself.
Building on existing knowledge of the FMEA method and their own practical experience, participants in this one-day seminar will gain technical knowledge of reverse FMEA and practical experience in the content-related, organizational, and methodological preparation and implementation of a reverse FMEA.
